How it works

You, the KiwiMates membership, hold the keys to power. If someone gets offended, they can put the offender up for a vote, but they also risk getting put up themselves. For being a baby.

From their high tower of moral impunity, Facebook, Twitter, and their ilk consider themselves morally superior, smarter, and wiser than the knuckle-dragging Neanderthal swine that use their services. They virtue-signal their "wokeness" by censoring what you say, thus, trying to control how you think. Their ever-watching computer AI algorithms monitor posts for forbidden words and thoughts, banning them, and if you are out-of-line too often... banning you.

On KiwiMates, we don't try to be the Praetorian Guard of moral authority. We'll let you decide. That's what the Judgment Service is for. A Trial by Web®.

Trial by Web® is our brilliant plan to keep things somewhat civil, without our team having to take the role of moralistic Social Networking Inquisitor. When things get heated, everyone has skin-in-the-game to tamp it down: You, your friend who let you in here, and the person on the other side of the screen.

Sort it out amongst yourselves in the comments. You're more likely to believe corrections from your friends than from us anyway.

This site is really about freedom of speech. Not a tool for hiding from the police, or arranging murder-for-hire. We do look at these messages, and if we see some bullshit like you are trying to sell drugs, or threatening to actually kill someone, then we are going to tell the police. And we will probably even tell your mother. So don't be an idiot, or a criminal.

    Hey, it happens. And when it does we'll put your account up for Judgment, by the other KiwiMates - for Online Jail, Banishment, or a Hall Pass.

    Your sponsor gets a turn in the barrel

    You're judged by the crowd you keep, and if a person you invited acts the fool, we are going to put you up for a vote too. So if you have a crazy friend, don't invite him to this party.

    Snitches get stitches

    We figure the best way to stop pietistic pearl-clutchers from complaining about everything is to put them up for a vote as well. This way, you really have to mean it, rather than ham-handed smacking at the "Inappropriate flag" at every turn.

    We're not going to say Who said What, or Who tattled on Who. Your account will just come up for trail. In the end, everyone will probably decide based on your overall behavior. If you are kind of an asshole, the group will let you know.
